Awesome thanks for sharing. I started not long ago so I'm excited to branch out and increase engagement. It's great to know there's so many paths. Cheers!
So many great resources shared here! I found Substack to be such a great place for growth, networking and community building and managed to grow my newsletter from zero to (almost) 1k subscribers in 6 months with all subscribers apart from around 20 coming from the Substack network.
Thank you very much for all your advice. As someone completely new to Substack, I find this very helpful. Especially as I am struggling to generate attention for my work. I'm pretty terrible at marketing and don't want to get on people's nerves.
These are all useful points and, as Bryce said, it’s helpful to have them summarised in one post. Your comment about comments struck a chord.
We get what we give. If we want connections, we have to connect with others. If we want engagement, we have to engage. If we want conversations, we have to converse. If we want to earn attention, we have to pay attention.
What is the real difference between a post and a discussion thread? because they look the same... And then, the Chat Threads ... don't you really think that everything is getting more and more confusing?
Is the explore section being worked on? So far it's hard to find other comedy writers

A very insightful piece. Thanks for all the tips.
Very helpful recap of everything in one place. Thank you!
Thanks for putting this together. When I click on that leaderboard link via the app I get taken to a page that just says error. Not sure what’s wrong.
Either way I loved this post . It hadn’t occur to me to embed someone’s post in a post. Seems like that’s perfect for collaborations.
Thank you for posting! I need “Substack for Dummies 101”!
I’ve been considering launching a sub-stack. Are there any people one can actually talk to or message such as yourself or third-parties?
Little embarrassed at how late I am to reading all these tips. Thanks so much for putting them out there.
I made a pdf cartoon book and want to publish it on substack. How?
Hello Linda,

How is VAT handled in substack? I don't see a single newsletter that has it configured? would you show me an example?
Thanks, that really helped!

Sadly the scammers are beginning to join Substack to catch the unwary. Probably the same ones who lurk on Skype.
